Archangel models were probably the first commercial producers of all-weather 16mm locos. The first picture is of a ‘Sergeant Murphy’ dating from about 1978 and the lower picture is of a ‘Sammy’ of similar age. Both are externally spirit -fired and can exhibit spectacular haulage powers and long duration of run as well as fire-ball effects!
